Nano as a car doesn't attract to consumers. It's too costly for ppl who use scooter/bike. Plus it's marketing as common mans car has left impression it's only for lower middle class. Hence not opted by others. Biggest flaw is it's designs.

It's failure of marketing team and design team of tata motors. Ratan tata though highly respected can not blame it on others.

Ratan Tata did not blame Mamta Banerjee in true sense. We should understand his version. If any branded item does not fulfill its demand vs. supply ratio, certainly it will affect the marketing of the said item. The same thing happened with Nano, which Mr. Ratan Tata tried to explain here.

I am using NANO LX version for the last two years with great satisfaction. At the time of emergency it may carry six persons (incld. driver), what rest we should expect with a small car with a big height and road clearance?

I do not know how much all pf you have seen the inner part of the TATA Group application and functionality. It is the TATA group who has not only the business arenas but also the vast area of education where they are penetrating more than even the GOVT Of India.

I do not know whether all of you have the technical knowledge of how the Singur factory was supposed to work. it was designed as the central plant will have the 100% automated even had the motive to use the robotics and the central plant would have surrounded by almost 143 has baaged ancillary units. These ancillary units will be governed by the other private organizations but TATA would have the technical control over these ancillary units. This has made the expected price of NANO as on or within Rs one LAC. People say that why they will buy NANO when other cars such as ALTO/Maruti etc. cars are available. It means that enough purchasing capacity is available with most of the Indians.

Meanwhile, what these west bengal ministers are saying are not correct as Tata Hitachi had thought of expanding but not yet any such decisions has been taken. The TCS has bagged certain Bangladesh and Indian projects and for the same they are raising there streength as from kolkata it will be cheaper. ..
