I know over 20 people with different Samsung phones, from the old S2, through S3, lots of S4 mini and ending with my Note 3 which has a micro USB 3.0. None has issues with the USB, and None complains about the software (though I admit that Samsung puts too much trash on it). You're just too (brain) limited.

About the battery, with every generation gets the iPhone/iPad better and faster BUT still, the battery is too short in comparison to newer phones (I get 2-3 days out of my Note 3 with lots of SMS, calls and Internet).

The batteries need a revolution: they must last at least 50% longer, and take 50% less time to charge. ..

From my experience, iPhone 4 and 5 have better battery than most Android phones out there.

Not as good as the 3,000 mAh battery phones which include Note 3 and LG G2. It's certainly better than Moto X or the Nexus phones. ..

Sorry but my wife's Moto X (which I had for months) gets way better battery life as does my N5. My sister's iPhone 5 chews through the battery quick and must charge in the evening to use her iPhone in the night. This is not to bash Apple, but it's the truth.

My sister is a medium user with her iPhone 5 and she has to charge in the evening to use it in the night. I do not need to do this and I am a medium to heavy user. Maybe the 5S has better battery life than the 5 but I would not know as I do not own the 5 or 5S. ..

All of the flagship Android phones have bigger screens than the iPhone (at least 5.1 inches or higher vs 3.9 inches for the iPhone), have a higher resolution than the iPhone (iPhone is 620p vs 1080p minimum for Android), and constantly run multiple apps in the foreground and background (widgets, etc). The Android phones should, in theory, have the same or poorer battery life than the iPhone. However, most flagship Android phones last twice as long as the iPhone. Apple definitely needs to fix this. ..
