What happens to the photons in the room

What happens to all the photons in the room when we switch off all the lights??

They all are absorbed by the electrons of atoms of room .. And because they move with the vel of 3x10^8 ,they get also absorbed by that vel... So its looks dark very fast.

I don't think so... not need to absorb.. even in case of mirror... Because photons are Bo-sonic particle..so, after switched off the light, the photons goes at the subatomic level and eventually will come out from the back portion of mirror, and of course not visible like normal light.

There interection with fermion particle, presented in the mirror, eventually little bit slow down the photons, and reduses its wavelenght, and ultimetly photons will come outside.

Spectrum is formed due to the quantum jump of electrons from one energy shell to another...
In this way energy is leashed in the form of photon. But nothing is perfect... So its practically impossible.

Photons in the room with perfect mirror will keep reflecting of the walls constantly. But if you try to detect it the detector will absorb the photon and destroy the photon in effect. Unless detected the photon will keep bouncing off the perfect mirrors.
