As per quantum mechanics, particles have duality nature. Light can be a wave according to the young's double slit experiment and light can act like particles according to the photoelectric effect. The same type of experiment was done with electrons and it was found even electrons have dual nature. This dual nature is called as wave particle duality. Einstein described light as a particle moving in the form of a wave.

Since light can be both wave and particle (dual property), that may be because we actually can, in some way or other, also access a new dimension, where the moving wave becomes a moving particle - the border between different dimensions, maybe?

Particles are waves, longitudinal ones, like sound. However, light is a transverse wave....so, in any case light is a wave.

Actually, the way I see things the photon is a train of equally sized waves. Calling them EM-waves is ok. The particle aspect arise from the "pinch" of my proposed oscillations of the fabric of space. (The "pinch" is due to the way the oscillations of the fabric of space apperently work. Our universe seem to oscillate radially. Pulsating.) This "pinch" keeps the wavetrain concentrated and let it deliver its payload at the same spot on arrival, one wave after the other with no need for a particle
