Sliding friction takes place if there is relative motion between two bodies and neither of the two is circular or oval

rolling friction takes place if there is relative motion between two bodies and either of them is circular or oval like a wheel or ball

sliding friction is greater than rolling friction

There is more interlocking between the surfaces in case of sliding friction....clearly the interlocking is less in rolling friction..so the coefficient of sliding friction is comparatively more...and magnitude too.
